My days at Liberty Orphanage

Breakfast is at 7:15 we have tortillas with a fried hot dog or beans, sometimes we get waffles for breakfast.

There are 6 domes this is the kitchen.
Inside the kitchen where we eat.

Miss |Mary she makes the best bbq.
Miss Lolie makes awesome frijacks. 1 stove and 1 sink, no dishwasher for over 40 people.
Walking to school in the morning.

After breakfast we walk the kids to school and then we are off to our jobs. I go to the daycare, Mom goes to the preschool, Adam goes to the kitchen and Isaac and Kevin do yard work or odd jobs.
This is the middle of the preschool and daycare where the kids have circle time. |It echos a lot.
Daycare is where I help in the morning. Mostly I watch cartoons, the kids are only allowed to play with some of the toys. The educational toys they are not allowed to play with unless there is an extra adult to play with them. The ladies at the daycare are very nice but do not get up off their seat. The kids have to sit still most of the day, I would have liked to be more active it was boring, but at least I didn't have to work outside. It is very hot out!
Preschool is where my mom helps.

Lunch is really good, it is always a piece of chicken, rice and beans, each day the chicken and beans are a little different. Adam helps pack up the lunches then Mr Moses takes the kids their lunches to school. On the weekend if someone buys charcoal Miss Mary will bbq the chicken it is amazing! After lunch I help with dishes. Then we do our homework and hide from the heat until the kids get home from school.
They have greenhouses that they weren't using because they were all full of weeds.
Kevin, Isaac and |Mom pulled all the weeds.

Trick or Treat! I am the pacman haunting ghost!
Hot water heater, the sun heats up the water

Water cups
Everyday after school we play basketball, the kids are amazing at basketball! I have gotten way better at basketball. I only lost by 1 point to Abner yesterday. Most of the kids play shoeless, when we first played basketball we tried playing with no shoes, but I cut my toe and Isaac and Adam got really bad blisters. Mom was not happy, we got a lecture on our baby feet and some kids have hiv and it is not safe to go barefoot. We tried playing in sandals, Kevin hurt his knee and Isaac and Adam broke their sandals now we wear runners ; )
Isaac is learning how to play marbles.
Supper is at 5:30 we have tortillas and beans or a fried hot dog. They do not eat vegetables or fruit I am missing eating fruit and vegetables, after a week we went and bought a bunch of vegetables and oranges for the orphanage. I hope they will use the green house wisely it will be good for them to have vegetables to grow strong.
Kevin has one spot on his shirt that isn't wet with sweat.
Mr Wafi and Miss Gerla
After supper Isaac does dishes and we go upstairs because the bugs come out really bad and it is dark at 6.

Making rows
|It is very hot in there!

Instead of saying hello people say good morning, good afternoon or good night. you also do not call adults by their names only. You call them Miss or Mr and their name or sir or mam if you don't know their name.
We still need a picture of Mr Moses but he is sick we will post the picture later, folks!
Check back another day to see my walk around Ladyville.

This is what it sounds like at night!

Happy Birthday Mr. P I hope you like my blog
