Better in Belize Eco Village

Better in Belize Eco village
November 7th,
I just got to the eco village the bus drive hurt my head because it was bumpy :(
We arrived at Benque Viejo del Carmen and drove to the Eco village called better in Belize it is ten miles through the rainforest it takes you more then half a hour because the road is bumpy and rocky, twisty and hilly too the taxi ride hurt Adams butt :(  but we were Surrounded with trees it was amazing!!!  When I got there the cabin has 3 bedrooms a table and kitchen it is fantastic.

November 8th,
see how small the pontoon boat looks!
Today we went kayaking down the river, it looks like we are in the Jurassic park movie. There are lots of huge trees on the mountains there are so many trees that you can't see through them. We saw 4 water falls, 2 big ones and 2 small ones. Adam kayaked to a small one and filled up my water bottle. He said he got to cross that off his bucket list to drink from a waterfall. When we went down the river we saw a baby crocodile he was sleeping on a log.

Can you see us at the bottom of the tree?

November 9th,
We went for a walk up a huge hill to howler point lookout. It was hard going up but easy going down. I like walking up better because my toes get crushed in my shoes going down. We have heard lots of howler monkeys but we have not seen them. We will try to get a picture of them
; )

November 10th,
We went to Spanish lookout to get parts for Suzanne's truck that Kevin is going to fix. We stopped at a place on the road and had really good bbq chicken and tortillas. It was $5 Belize that means $2.50 in American. I lost my tooth I pulled it out myself, I hope I get money from the tooth fairy. When we got back we went down to the river and had a really nice swim.
November 11th,
Guess what happened I got my money $ and we saw BIG PUTTY CAT prints on my deck. We also heard howler monkeys and went to find them.  We could kinda see them but they were really high up in the trees so it is hard to see them well.

At supper we had our moment of silence for the people who sacrificed their life's for our country.

November 12th,
Hi, today susanne lent us her truck that was nice of her. It was Isaac b-day and we saw a ice cream shop so we went in and Isaac got mint chip mom did not think Isaac would get mint chip but He did and we went for super and the whole family got cheeseburgers.

November 14th
Today Suzanne took me and my family to that chicken place and the best waterfalls ever they were big rock falls and rio on pools. Then we went to rio frio caves they are very very large there was a little river, beach and stalactites.
The drive was bumpy and bouncy and we had to cross lots of bridges, they are scary.

November 20th
The roads at pine ridge are orange and red!
We went to the pine ridge mountain preserve and went to the 1000 foot falls, it was amazing the falls surrounded by mountains and clouds you could see for a very long distance because we were up so high. The road to get there was worst than our grid roads they were muddy, slippery, rocky and hilly.  The roads were bright orange and red  it looks cool. We tried to go to Barton creek caves but sadly the road was gone, it rained so much that the road was covered with tons of fast moving water.
The truck needs a wash
there is no way to cross the water is moving to fast and is deep.

Hey Arlene we found a way across ; )
On our way back we stopped at a butterfly greenhouse learned a lot about butterflies. I got to see eggs, larvae, pupas, caterpillars and of course butterflies. My favorite butterfly was the butterfly with transparent wings it was called the glass butterfly. It was a great day.

those butterflies are mating

Cole lives at the eco village with his grandma and grandpa, it was awesome to have someone to play with!

|Jorge showed us around and told us a lot about plants. we tried some that tasted good and some that were gross!
